About Lindsay Cox-Prior

Experience in providing counselling to GP clients across Glossop and the surrounding communities with varying mental health concerns.

The majority of clients that walk through my door want instant changes in their relationships, with self-esteem/ identity or confidence in rebuilding themselves after traumatic events; change takes time. I take an individualist approach as I appreciate everyone is different and we all have different needs. I will work collaboratively with you. You will have autonomy over your therapy, including frequency of sessions, and I will encourage you to have a voice. Clients that are willing to make the most of what they learn about themselves are more likely to make progress that lasts.

Having a corporate and managerial past leaves me ideally placed to help clients experiencing workplace stress, in addition to this, my specialisms include: general anxiety, depression and self esteem issues, as well as bereavement. I offer person-centred counselling to clients experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns without judgement.

I will work as hard as you do in assisting you through whatever decisions you decide to make in your life to address your issues. You will not be alone but you will own responsibility for your progress and you will face challenges along the way. I will be there to support you, listen to you and to help make plain the issues that cause you confusion and pain.
